Amazon Plot Synopsis:

The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. When we allow him to speak lies through our rejection, he pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of Christ’s powerful love.

In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences with rejection—from the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father to the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over.

My thoughts:

If you’ve ever felt rejected, unloved or even simply left out I would recommend this book. Most of my life I’ve been dealing with feelings of feeling left out or uninvited. This book  I think everyone has dealt with rejection in one form or another. This book did an excellent job of providing practical tips for how to “live loved” through every season of our lives.

I thought this book was an easy read and I would suggest buying yourself a copy. I think I highlighted every other sentence in some chapters. In the back of the book Lysa laid out some of her favorite quotes from the book. I love to go back and reread these quotes. I also have posted a few of them around my house and to end I’ll share of few of my favorites from the book with you.

Rejection steals the best of who I am by reinforcing the worst of what’s been said to me.

The mind feasts on what it focuses on. What consumes my thinking will be the making or the breaking of my identity.

Do you ever struggle with feelings of rejection or feeling left out? Would you be interested in reading this book? Or if you have read this book what did you take away from it?
